Customer follow-up · QISHANR 3GS (ISO VG 32 mineral) · Service fleet, R22 equipment
This page is our record of a brand switch that a service company made for commercial reasons and then judged on service results. QISHANR 3GS is a wax-free ISO VG 32 naphthenic mineral refrigeration oil that we publish as fully interchangeable with Suniso 3GS specifications. We supply it in 1 L cans for van stock and in larger packs for workshop and plant inventory, with batch documents issued on every order.

We asked for their view once the switch had covered a full summer. This is the report we received, reproduced as written:
To be honest, we were Suniso 3GS loyalists — it's what our service records and the compressor manuals all point to. But our usual source kept pushing up prices and lead times, so we tried QISHANR 3GS as a direct interchangeable replacement. The specs match: ISO VG 32, 29 cSt at 40°C, pour point −36°C, flash point 175°C — same naphthenic mineral family as the Suniso we were buying. Eight months and a few hundred service calls later, we genuinely can't tell the difference: R22 units start clean, no valve deposits on teardowns, and oil return is fine. The 1L cans are handy for the van, the batch COA comes with every order, and delivery runs about a week faster than our old source. Honestly, at roughly 30% less per litre, it was a no-brainer. One tiny wish: print 'interchangeable with Suniso 3GS' right on the can — it would save our warehouse guys from checking the spec sheet every time. We've already switched our whole stock over.
When a service company asks us for an interchangeable grade, we answer with published values rather than adjectives. Interchangeability is a lubricant term for a replacement oil that meets the same viscosity grade, oil family and performance requirements as the oil it replaces.
QISHANR 3GS is a wax-free ISO VG 32 naphthenic mineral oil, which is the same family as the Suniso 3GS that this customer had standardised on. Same family matters, because it is what allows a top-up or a drain-and-refill without a conversion procedure.
An ISO viscosity grade is a classification of an oil's kinematic viscosity at 40 °C. Our 3GS is published at 29 cSt at that point, measured under ASTM D445, the standard method for kinematic viscosity.
Cold flow is the second value on the interchange list. We publish a pour point of −36 °C for 3GS, measured under ASTM D97, which is what keeps oil moving and wax out of the circuit on low-temperature work.
Thermal margin is the third. Our flash point for this grade is 175 °C in the open cup, measured under ASTM D92, and it is the number behind the deposit behaviour a teardown reveals.
We publish 3GS as fully interchangeable with Suniso 3GS specifications, and we issue the data sheet that states it with the quotation. A buyer can then hold our sheet against their own service record and decide, which is the check this customer's workshop ran.
A service company judges an oil in two places: at the van, where a clean start either happens or does not, and on the bench, where the teardown either shows deposits or does not.
Carbon deposit is a hard residue that forms when oil breaks down on hot metal surfaces such as valve plates and discharge ports. It is the failure mode that shows up months after an oil stops being thermally stable.
Our published claim for 3GS is that it eliminates excessive carbon deposits at compressor hotspots, and that it protects bearings while preventing plugging of lines and oil ports.
The customer's own teardowns are the field half of that claim. Across a few hundred service calls and eight months of work, their bench reported no valve deposits, and oil return on the R22 units held up.
Cold starts are the other half. A wax-free naphthenic base with a −36 °C pour point keeps the oil and refrigerant mixture mobile, so a unit starts clean rather than labouring against oil that has thickened overnight.
On the next teardown, the four places to look are the valve plate and discharge port for coking, the oil ports and capillary lines for restriction, the sight glass for return, and the sump oil for colour and odour.

The swap itself should cost a service company nothing but a purchase order. Most of the work on our side happens before the order, which is why we ask for the equipment list and the current oil rather than just a quantity.
On packaging, 1 L cans are the format this fleet standardised on for van stock, and we also supply the larger packs that suit a workshop shelf or a plant store. Mix the two on one order and the van and the store stay on the same grade.
On documents, we issue a certificate of analysis per batch together with the technical and safety data sheets, so a service company can file the batch record against the job. Export orders add the CE certificate, certificate of origin, MSDS and transport identification report, and third-party testing can be arranged.
On availability we quote our own lead time, because we make these oils in our own plant in Foshan, Guangdong, rather than reselling somebody else's stock. That is the difference behind a delivery date a workshop can plan around.
On price we quote per grade, pack size and destination rather than publishing list prices, so a service company can compare on its own invoice basis. The comparison in this report is the customer's own, drawn from what their previous source was charging them.
On support, our technical team will confirm the equivalent grade from a compressor or unit model, and a service company moving a whole stock can have the interchangeability statement on paper for its own records. We also supply private-label and OEM orders for distributors.

A: Yes. It is a wax-free ISO VG 32 naphthenic mineral oil, the same family and grade, and we publish it as fully interchangeable with Suniso 3GS specifications. Hold our data sheet against your own service record, or ask us for the statement on paper.
A: Within one family and one grade, a top-up or a drain-and-refill does not call for a conversion procedure, which is why this fleet could switch vans over one at a time.
A: 1 L cans for van stock and larger packs for a workshop shelf or plant store. Mixing the two on one order keeps the van and the store on the same grade with the same batch record.
A: A certificate of analysis per batch together with the technical and safety data sheets. Export orders add the CE certificate, certificate of origin, MSDS and transport identification report, and third-party testing can be arranged.
A: That request came from this customer's warehouse team, who were checking the spec sheet by hand. Our interchangeability statement currently travels on the data sheet and can be issued on paper for your records; the labelling suggestion is recorded here.
