1.Lubrication
Reducing friction: Refrigeration oil forms an oil film between the moving parts of the compressor, reducing mechanical wear.
2. Sealing action
Gas sealing: In piston compressors, refrigeration oil helps to seal the compression chamber, reducing refrigerant leakage and improving compression efficiency.
3. Cooling effect
Stabilisation of operating temperature: Ensures that the compressor operates within the optimum temperature range and avoids carbonisation of the lubricant due to high temperatures.
4. Chemical stability
Compatible with refrigerants: BITZER refrigeration oils are optimised for different refrigerants, avoiding chemical reactions that can produce sludge or acidic substances.
5. Oil-refrigerant miscibility
Influence on oil return performance: Some refrigerants (e.g. R134a) and POE oil (ester oil) have good mutual solubility, which ensures that the lubricating oil can return to the compressor with the refrigerant.
6. System cleaning and protection
Anti-corrosion: Additives prevent corrosion of metal parts inside the refrigeration system.
Reducing carbon accumulation: It is not easy to decompose under high temperature environment, avoiding sludge clogging the system.
Features:
High thermal stability:Thermally stable refrigeration oil can keep its physical and chemical properties stable under high temperature environment, and will not decompose or deteriorate due to the increase of temperature.Non-foaming:The anti-foaming property ensures that the refrigeration oil can always circulate in the compressor system in a good condition.Stable viscosity profile:At low temperatures, it will not be too viscous to affect the fluidity, to ensure that the compressor starts and runs smoothly; at high temperatures, it will not be too thin to lose the lubrication and sealing effect.Low solubility:This characteristic can reduce the interaction between refrigerant and refrigeration oil, avoiding the deterioration of refrigeration oil performance due to the dissolution of refrigerant in the refrigeration oil.
